New heat wave at the beginning of August 2022, at Toulouse like everywhere in France. Unfortunately, in Tournefeuille, the Ramée leisure center, one of the busiest in these summer times, has been prohibited for swimming since the end of July, due to algae. Where can you cool off near the Pink City?
Muret and Saint-Jory near Toulouse
Since Saturday June 18, the Bonnets lake located in Muret is open for swimming. Fine sand reigns, with supervised and authorized swimming every day between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wakeboard, water jump or even blob jump are installed there, with a guinguette on display to eat after having taken a dip. Another bathing point also taken, Lake Braguessou in Saint-Jory, open Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. An ice cream parlor is present in the area, as are barbecues, tables and benches.
Several other lakes in Haute-Garonne
The Haute-Garonne is full of spots where the freshness reigns in these times of scorching days. Caraman and Saint-Ferréol shelter their water points. The lake of the Thesauca, near Nailloux, it is also on the bill. A little longer, Montrejeau, at the foot of the Pyrenees, it is another spot very popular with the people of Haut-Garonne during the summer.
And for swimming pools?
To cool off in Toulouse, the swimming pools are always open, and some even have their extended opening hours during the first two weeks of August, when the weather is very hot.

- Papus : open Monday to Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and until 8 p.m. from August 3 to 14
- Toulouse Lautrec : open Monday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and until 8 p.m., from August 3 to 14
