Primavera 2, Pisa included in group B – Sport
Pisa, 7 August 2022 – Pisa Primavera are ready to restart for the new season, after the excellent qualification for last year’s playoffs. For Marco Masi, who remained in command of the bench, another interesting season is looming with many new features. The first of these is the inclusion in Group B of the Primavera 2 tournament.
CHAMPIONSHIP – The Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B has formalized the staff of the next “Primavera 2” championship, reserved for the 32 teams identified among the companies of the Serie A TIM 2022/2023, the Serie BKT 2022/2023 and the Serie C 2022/2023 , who do not participate in the TIMVISION 2022/2023 Primavera 1 Championship “Giacinto Facchetti Trophy”. This is the composition of the groups: Girone A. Albinoleffe, Alessandria, Brescia, Cittadella, Como, Cremonese, Feralpisalò, Genoa, Vicenza, Monza, Padua, Parma, Pordenone, Reggiana, Spal, Venice. Group B. Ascoli, Benevento, Cosenza, Crotone, Imola, Lazio, Monopoli, Perugia, Pescara, Pisa, Reggina, Salernitana, Spezia, Ternana, Virtus Entella, Viterbese. The championship starts next September 10th and ends on May 13th 2023.
REGULATION – The Primavera 2 championship is divided into two successive phases. “Italian” groups: the registered clubs are divided into two groups of 16 teams each (Girone A, Girone B). At the end of this phase, the first classified of each group is promoted to the Primavera 1 Championship, even if the respective major teams are relegated to Serie C. The bottom two classified will face each other in home and away play-out matches. , whoever loses relegates to the Spring 3 Championship. Play-offs for promotion: The clubs ranked 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in each group, for a total of eight teams, compete in the play-offs for promotion to the Spring Championship. 1. Quarter-finals: the eight clubs are paired together according to the following scheme in a single match: Q1: 2nd Group A against 5th Group B; Q2: 3rd Group A against 4th Group B; Q3: 2nd Group B against 5th Group A; Q4: 3rd Group B against 4th Group A. Semifinals: the four companies are paired together according to the following scheme in a single match: S1: Winner 1 against Winner Q4; S2: Winner Q3 vs Winner Q2. Final: the two winning clubs face each other in the final to obtain promotion in Spring 1. The club that won in regular time acquires the right to participate in the Primavera 1 Championship, but, in the event of a tie, the teams play extra time and, in the alternative, penalty kicks.
