Prague is finalizing preparations for the construction of a footbridge to the Rajská zahrada railway station
Prague is preparing the construction of a new footbridge that will connect the Rajská zahrada station with the newly built railway station. The municipality has now announced a tender for the contractor of the footbridge and the technical supervision of the builder. The public will have the opportunity to participate in the process and decide what color its construction will be. The footbridge will lead across Chlumecká Street and connect the stop with Borská Street, thereby enabling easier passage through the area and facilitating transfers between trains and the subway. Vít Hofman, the spokesperson of the municipality, informed about it.
During the whole of August, Prague residents can vote on the Pražana Portal on the final color of the steel footbridge. Voting is possible after logging into the Pražana Portal using the Citizen’s Identity (for example, through a bank identity, NIA ID or eGovernment mobile key), or via a data box. More information about login options is available at portalprazana.cz/jak-se-hlašit.
“By the end of this year, the construction of the new Rajská zahrada footbridge will begin, which will connect the Rajská zahrada metro station with the newly built railway station of the same name. It crosses Chlumecká Street and also connects with Borská Street. It will make it easier to transfer between trains and the subway, and it will be easier to pass through the area where the drop-off and the railway now form a barrier. We are currently selecting the contractor, the technical supervision of the builder and the color for you. Therefore, during the whole of August, the people of Prague can vote on the Pražana Portal on the final color of the steel structure,” said Deputy Mayor for Transport Adam Scheinherr (Praha Sobě).
