The launch of the new services is approaching: the San Marino Card changes its appearance, from an aesthetic and functional point of view. News announced in the Government’s 2023 Economic Program. “2022 will be a turning point year”the executive writes in the Program, for a project owned by the Secretariat of Finance.
After the graphic restyling presented in recent months, in collaboration with the University of San Marino, new digital services are on the way. The key step will be the cleaner of the current cards, expiring in October, with the new ones. A range of functions will then open up, such as the “Dematerialized card”: operations can be carried out via smartphone, with the new one app. Among the novelties, also the possibility of money between two cards. No longer just bank charges, because sums can also be credited with the ATM at ATMs.
They will be then waiting times decreased at the checkout counters: the current ones will be replaced with new generation models, together with new software, so as to make payments faster and eliminate part of the receipts. A partnership with the Post Office was then launched for greater flexibility, as stated in the Government’s program, and to cope with peaks in activity. For the future, one of the original objectives of Smac remains: it development of domestic consumption. In fact, for 2023, the aim is to get more operators to join the promotional plans of the card.
