Genoa, work on the Gavoglio barracks, residents report doubts about protection measures
Genoa – The installation of a huge metal walkway, with about ten employees apparently without any safety protection. It is the classic “straw that breaks the camel’s back” and on social networks there are new protests from residents who overlook the former Gavoglio barracks, where work is underway for the construction of a new park.
Photos and videos posted on the social pages of the district showing the laying operations of a large and heavy metal walkway and one wonders if they have respected the safety measures imposed on those who work in and, above all, if there is the necessary vigilance by the bodies in charge.
There are those who wonder if the helmet has become “optional” or if certain processes do not require this tool and there are those who are more experienced in the subject, underline that the necessary self-protection measures are of a very different level.
In the photos and video publications – equivalent to a public complaint – we see about ten people (workers? Technicians?) Without helmets, apparently without protective clothing and apparently without harnesses and other protective measures.
A metal walkway of considerable weight moves over the texts of the people (workers?).
Residents wonder if checks have been carried out during the work and if the measures that avoid risks to the health of workers are respected.
A visit by the bodies responsible for the necessary checks would dispel any doubts and reassure those who, on a daily basis, attend the work by looking out of the windows of the house.
