Dormitory students in Debrecen won’t get away with it either: dormitory fees are rising due to utility costs
Debrecen – Due to the increase in utility costs, university students have to pay 5-10 more for the dormitory.
The University of Debrecen has a total of five thousand dormitories in 14 buildings. Two-thirds of these can be used by older students. Social status and academic results are also important in the assessment. Those who will start their higher education in September received information on Friday about whether they have been admitted to one of the colleges.
Their decision was made based on the social situation. The university’s dormitories are popular not only because they are well equipped, but also because they cost much less than subletting. From September, you will have to pay HUF 18,000 for the cheapest place, while the most expensive one will cost HUF 30,000.
– The prices have increased moderately this year in accordance with the comfort level of the given housing unit. Most of our dormitories have two beds, but there are also three- and four-bed rooms – said Imre Csiszár, head of the DE Dormitory Board.
