These are the five people of the Milwaukee Bucks in Athens
Polymeles is the team of the Milwaukee Bucks in Athens, to make life easier for Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo on the road to EuroBasket 2022.
He returned from his last summer vacation in Athens at the beginning of the week, watched the national team’s program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and from Thursday (4/8) Giannis Antetokounmpo is participating in the training sessions held at OAKA, of course together . with his brother, Thanasis and the younger Kostas and Alexandros.
The Greek Freak rested on Saturday (8/6), after previously doing his individual program (mid- and long-range shots) in the half court.
Antetokounmpo talked to Dimitris Itoudis and the Milwaukee Bucks people in Athens about making life a little easier for him, explained that he was feeling a little…rusty and preferred not to push himself further, with physical contact and running into . the whole field.
He is not facing an injury problem, just a few breaths after two days of intense work to regain some lost ground in relation to his teammates. There is no question of him not participating in the friendly game with Spain (9/8, 19:00), at least with the data so far.
Giannis works with the assistant coach of the Bucks, Josh Oppenheimer, who follows Antetokounmpo everywhere and is now an official member of the coaching staff of the National Men’s team. The veteran point guard helps the two brothers continue the routine they follow in Milwaukee, works with them, participates in staff meetings and gives a different perspective on things to Itoudis, Manolopoulos, Kamberidis, Triantafyllos.
Also in Athens are Head of Strength and Conditioning, Suki Hobson, who follows Giannis everywhere and always, physical therapist, Brett Bousquet, Head of Content, Nick Monroe and Director of Basketball Operations, Tony Bollier. All supportive, in the effort of the EEC which has perfect relations with the organization of Milwaukee.
To this group will be added -unexpectedly- even more members of the Bucks who can travel to Greece in the next few days to combine their rest with the Acropolis tournament (17-19/8), in which Sandro Mamoukelashvili will also participate . with Georgia.
