In the second round of the football NB I, Debrecen played a 1-1 draw against newcomer Kecskemét in a tense match at the Nagyerdei Stadium.
The audience at the Nagyerdei Stadium was able to see a first half that was not of a very high standard and produced few chances, which they could be happy about because the home team played football in a superior manner. The visitors put a lot more emphasis on defense, and Debrecen failed to break through the Kecskemét rear formation until the break.
The picture of the game did not change much after the turn, but the home team put more and more pressure on the opponent, and this resulted in a goal in the middle of the half, Donát Bárány scoring from close range. Despite this, there was still some excitement left for the game, in the first minutes – almost out of nowhere – Kecskemé equalized after Levente Szabó, who came on as a substitute a few minutes earlier, made no mistake from the penalty spot.
this sped up the game, the pace and tension increased, but the home team did not manage to score another goal, thus, the match ended in a draw and a fight broke out between the players of the two teams. Based on the video referee replay, the sending off was also considered, in the end the referee did not give a red card to any football player.
