Monaco wins in Strasbourg – ASM-SUPPORTERS.FR
After the European Cup return to Ligue 1 grounds for the Monegasques with the trip to Strasbourg. Ideal start for the ASM which imposes itself with the score of 2-1 against the Alsatians.
Deprived of certain usual starters, it was Diop who proved to be the most dangerous in the first moments on the Monegasque side. The Strasbourg quickly responded but Nubel, already in great shape, stopped all the Alsatian offensives. Jean Lucas and Embolo then also obtained great chances without however finding the frame. On a corner from Diop, Diatta opened the score for ASM with a superb strike for his return as a starter after a complicated year following an injury.
Returning from the locker room, Diatta could have scored his second of the evening but Sels, well placed on his line, stopped the Monegasque offensives. Dangerous since the start of the match, Diop following a repelled strike from Gelson scored the second but Monegasque. Note the very good back to back work throughout the meeting of rookie Breel Embolo. Diallo for the RCS reduced the score on a cross from Delaine. A but canceled in the last moments for the RCS allowed the Monegasques to keep the victory.
Heading for Europe again for the Monegasques with the trip to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday at 8 p.m. to hope for qualification. For Ligue 1, the reception of Rennes will take place during the next day.
