Super League: still fatal conclusion! Why Toulouse Olympique once again lost in the final moments
Once again, Thursday August 4, Olympic Toulouse lost in the “Money-Time”. It was, this time, in Hull, during the 23rd day of the Super League. A scenario that has already repeated itself three times since the start of the season.
It was the game not to lose. Until ten minutes from time, Toulouse had the favor of the scoreboard at Craven Park. They were leading (16-10) against Rovers. Victory seemed to reach out to them.
And then suddenly crashed, the machine suddenly seized up. In the 72nd, the Halton second line brought the counters to zero (16-16). Three minutes later, Rowan Milnes delivered the coup de grace (22-16). Toulouse thus leaves empty-handed and unfortunately consolidates its last place.

Eight points that are sorely lacking
In view of this season, this is not the first time that Toulouse have let their guard down at the end of the game. Let’s remember last March 5 during the Wigan reception. A drop from scrum-half Smith brought success to the Wiganers (29-28) in the last minute of play. On May 20 in Huddersfield, the Australian Cogger slammed the victorious drop three minutes from time. The TO bows (17-16). On June 12 at Ernest-Wallon, Castleford will seek victory seven minutes from the final whistle.
A try from the Fonua center condemned Olympic Toulouse (20-14) to defeat. Four times, the Toulousans lost in the “Money-Time”.
Let us look no further for the reasons for this last place. With a bit of success, Toulouse was able to turn these short defeats into victory. Eight points which are sorely lacking in the standings and which complicate the end of the season for Olympians.

And to complicate the task of the men of coach Sylvain Houlès, Joe Bretherton returned from Craven Park with a painful ankle which compromises his participation, Thursday August 11, in Warrington.
In the meantime, all the Toulouse treizistes are now supporters of the Catalan Dragons. Sunday at Wakefield, a Catalan success would give hope to Sylvain Houlès and his men.
