the return of free parking from August 1 to 15
The paid parking perimeter of the city becomes free. From August 1 to 15, 2022, the town hall of Toulouse is setting up the free parking in the streets of the Pink City. Like every year, motorists could come and park in the city center without having to worry about the parking meter for two weeks.
An action implemented for the first time in 2007
The free parking in Toulouse was set up for the first time in 2007. A first under the municipality of Jean-Luc Moudenc. And it extends over the entire perimeter of paid parking on the road, i.e. the streets concerned in the city center and outside the city center.
During the first half of August, more than 16,600 parking spaces are thus “free access”, as explained by the town hall of Toulouse in a press release. The municipality specifies that “this initiative contributes to the attractiveness of the city center to tourists in a period when traffic is less important”.
Adjustments for subscribers
If the two weeks free certain users can prosper, we must not forget subscribers to resident parking. The town hall then specifies: “for subscribers to resident parking, the withdrawal of the (bi)weekly subscription remains possible during this period: the paid time will be postponed beyond the free period”.
During this period, Toulouse residents can turn to Allô Toulouse, on 05 61 22 22 22 for any further information.
