They are 6 stores in Toulouse and its surroundings waiting for the verdict.
The French women’s clothing brand monochrome filed for receivership. The Commercial Court of Lille examined, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the request filed by the management of the sign. His fate is up in the air.
Stores under threat
The opening of this procedure, motivated by “an acceleration of the difficulties” of Camaïeu according to its spokesperson at AFP, could have consequences on stores in France and for employees.
Indeed, in the event of receivership accepted by the judge, Camaïeu may be subject to different conclusions: “a recovery plan”, “a partial or total sale of the brand”a “judicial liquidation”or be allowed “to lay off » according to the labor code.
Toulouse and its competent surroundings near 6 Camaieu stores which could be impacted:
- The Camaïeu of the Saint Georges shopping center, in the city center of Toulouse
- The Camaïeu of the Labège shopping center
- The Camaïeu of the Leclerc shopping center, in Rouffiac-Tolosan
- The Camaïeu of the Carrefour shopping center, in Portet-sur-Garonne
- The Camaïeu of the Leclerc shopping center, in Roques
- The Camaïeu of the Super U, in Colomiers
The sign did not communicate on the subject, nor the CGT, the minority union within the company, which did not respond to our requests.
Unpaid rents
The fate of the Camaïeu brand been talking about for several months. In March 2022, unions had denounced that the sign would no longer pay the rents of almost half of its 517 stores exploited in France, according to AFP.
The decision of the Lille Commercial Court is closely awaited by the employees. Camaïeu has 2,600 employees in the country. Case to follow.
