Every year during the holidays, a picture from the streets of Prague is repeated. There is a lot of small reconstruction, but also more extensive construction work. The editorial staff of PrahaIN.cz presents a list of several places where drivers can stay for a long time.
Due to the fact that many residents of Prague leave the metropolis during the summer months due to vacation, the traffic density is the lowest during the whole year. This is traditionally used by the municipal company Technická správa komunikací (TSK) for repairs and reconstruction of the surface of roads and sewers. On your website we fix it informs about current traffic restrictions and closures.
Crossroads Poděbradská, Průmyslova, Kbelská
On Monday, August 1, 2022, an extensive reconstruction of the aforementioned intersection will begin, during which new shifting lanes will be built on Poděbradská Street and a connection lane on Průmyslova Street. The local capacity will thus be increased by two more lanes, tram stops will also be relocated, and new barrier-free crossings will be built to ensure greater safety for pedestrians.
The construction work is to be completed by September 4, the work will take place in stages. Drivers here can expect delays of up to 30 minutes during rush hour.
Barrandovský most, Strakonická street
The first stage of the construction work on the reconstruction of the Barrandovský bridge is over halfway done. The construction of a new approach from Strakonická street and the repair of the two outer lanes in the direction from Smíchov should be completed on September 2. Detailed information about the latest construction works can be found on the specialized website Barranďak.
On Wednesday, July 27, the closure of the right half of the part of Strakonická street to the center in the Malá Chuchle area began, where the road will be expanded by one lane. The construction work here will last until the middle of December this year, we described more detailed information in the article HERE.
Bulovka
Even a simple diversion in the left turn lane before the intersection of Zenklova and Bulovka streets in the direction of the center as part of the replacement of the stop shelter can complicate traffic. Its construction will take place until July 29, 2022.

Depot Hostivař
Extensive construction work in the vicinity of the Depo Hostivař metro station has affected traffic since the middle of March this year. Currently, the lane in Černokostelecká street behind the intersection with Sazečská street in the direction of the center is closed, and traffic is directed in both directions in two lanes on the part of the road leading in the opposite direction.
