N. Pappas: Greece is a country without a railway, under the responsibility of the Mitsotakis
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Costas Karamanlis are blamed by the Nikos Pappasregarding the stoppage of the TRAINOSE train and the incredible suffering of hundreds of citizens.
At the same time, the Head of Infrastructure and Transport of K.O. of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance and Member of Parliament B3ʼ South Sector of Athens asks to be given explanations by the government about the incident, but also to compensate the passengers of the invoices.
Nikos Pappa’s statement:
“In the Greece of Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Karamanlis, the unthinkable does not exist.
The country yesterday became a country without a railway.
The routes collapsed and passengers of the central line Athens – Thessaloniki waited for hours in the fields.
Mr. Karamanlis to apologize before resigning.
TRAINOSE/Hellenic Train to explain what happened and what exactly are the problems of the network, which it invokes.
Passengers are not compensated in full and at Attica Road compensation rates.
The Railway Regulatory Authority to exhaust the limits of its powers and rigour.
Citizens deserve explanations and respect.
The country does not deserve the image of collapse.
The image shown by Mitsotakis and Karamanlis is not worthy of the country.
Tomorrow’s progressive government will launch a titanic effort to roll back the railway.”
