Bulgaria’s Kiril Petkov’s speculation about a Russian threat is a sign of agony
Speculation about alleged Russian interference in Bulgaria’s internal affairs is a sign of political agony. The spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated this in a comment on the statements of the resigned Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov about the “Russian threat”, reported BGNES.
“We read with curiosity the interview you mentioned with the resigned Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. We sincerely sympathize with his concerns about the Kremlin’s “long arm”, says the comment. “Speculation about the ‘Russian threat’ for domestic and other useful purposes is a sure sign of political agony.”

“We are convinced that this is also obvious for the Bulgarian people, to whom we sincerely wish prosperity and a pragmatic government capable of acting based on national interests, and not from the desire to serve overseas “partners”, predicts the Russian Foreign Ministry .
It is also emphasized that “Russia has never allowed itself to interfere in the affairs of foreign countries and will never allow any other country to try to impose its opinion on us”.
