ČSOB awarded the five with the sum of CZK 160,000, and the public additionally contributed the sum of CZK 133,551. In this year’s jubilee year, one extra project applied for the favor of contributors in each region. From a total of 367 submitted projects, the expert jury selected 4 in each of the 15 regions, and the public sent the fifth to the finals using a wild card.
“It’s great, even in a difficult economic situation, people support beneficial activities and have chosen a record start among themselves! The public has traditionally sent the most money to people with disabilities, the sick, children, young people and families. Recently, also interested in projects focused on the environment, regional development and animal protection. I am very happy that we are still sticking together and helping together where it makes sense,” says Petr Hutla, senior director and member of the board of directors of ČSOB.
