FC Andorra will invest 26 million euros in a new stadium in Encamp
FC Andorra, in the elite. The Comú of the town of Encamp has awarded FC Andorra the provisional and conditional concession, under a private occupation regime, of the land where the Prada de Moles sports facilities are located, for the construction of a professional football stadium with a capacity of approximately 6,000 spectators.
The project presented foresees an investment by the club of around 26 million euros in a first phase, of which the Comú will contribute six million as an investment.
As detailed by the major consul, Laura Mas, according to the documentation presented by FC Andorra and the analysis made by the Comú’s contracting table, the final award is conditional on the fulfillment of a series of requests that the administration has transferred to FC Andorra to comply within a maximum period of six months and proceed to the definitive concession of Prada de Moles for a duration of 35 years.
The FC Andorra stadium will have capacity for 6,000 people
The proposal presented by FC Andorra provides for the construction of a sports area in several phases. The first of these and essential to be able to start the works of the future stadium, with a capacity of more than 6,000 people and prepared to meet the demands of the highest football competitions, will be the training ground that will make it possible to reconcile the future investment and the sports practice of the entities of the parish.
The training ground, with changing rooms and a service area, will be built and financed, with an indicative budget of 900,000 euros by FC Andorra, on an adjacent piece of land in Prada de Moles of more than 9,000 square metres.
On the other hand, the installation will be monetized through the soccer campus amateurs and professionals, commercial spaces, relevant sporting and cultural events and conventions related to eSports, and youtubers. The parish expects to generate an indirect impact of close to one million euros per year, in the current scenario of playing in the second division, and 1.7 million euros per year if it were promoted to the first division.
The senior consul has also explained some details of the financing and the canon that the proposal presented provides. FC Andorra will provide the Comú d’Encamp with the right to use the facility for ten days a year, at zero cost, (when the estimated value is 5,000 euros per day), therefore, an annual amount of 50,000 euros, which are added to the reservation of advertising spaces for an annual amount of 60,000 euros, and the participation of FC Andorra in the payment of the rental of the land necessary for the construction of the training field for an estimated average value of 100,000 euros per year, with the corresponding planned increases. The value of the canon, adding the different elements that make it up and the common savings due to the non-maintenance of the sports facility, calculated at around 200,000 euros per year, would be more than 14 million euros for the duration of the concession.
In reference to the financing provided by the common Encamp, it will be six million euros for investment. In the event that the operation ends before the first fifteen years, FC Andorra is obliged to repay the outstanding debt corresponding to the investment made by the community.
The proposal also provides for a sponsorship agreement, for the promotion of the Encamp parish, which will include, among other advertising elements, the inclusion of the logo on the first team shirt for the next six seasons. The common will contribute to FC Andorra in concept of sponsorship one million euros per season, for four years. In addition, FC Andorra has also today renewed its sponsorship agreement with MoraBanc as main sponsor.
