Ali Akman likely to move to Galatasaray! – LIGABlatt – Soccer at the hour!
As Turkish media unanimously report, youngster Ali Akman could be drawn back home. The 20-year-old, who plays no role at Eintracht Frankfurt, should therefore be loaned to Galatasaray. The centre-forward was on loan at NEC Nijmegen until the very end, chasing goals.
At the age of just 18, top Turkish talent Ali Akman ventured to Europe. With strong performances at the Turkish second division club Bursaspor, the center forward played his way onto Eintracht Frankfurt’s note, who then got serious in the summer of 2020 and signed the youngster on a free transfer. Two years later, the now 20-year-old is expecting a difficult time, mainly because his sporting development has come to a standstill due to the lack of appearances in the Bundesliga. Those responsible for the reigning Europa League winner decided early on to carry the Turkish junior international to NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch Eredivisie. At least Akman had significantly more operating times there. In 32 games, the 20-year-old was able to find six goals. However, that shouldn’t be enough for Frankfurt, because those responsible are probably not planning with the Turk this season either under the successful coach Oliver Glasner. The latter is not in the training camp and has therefore not been used so far. According to Turkish media reports, the youngster could now be loaned out again, but this time in the Turkish Süper Lig. According to this, the Turkish record champions Galatasaray are said to have put out feelers to Akman.
Curious departure from Bursaspor
However, there should only be a loan without a purchase option in the room. For the youngster it would be the first club in the Turkish upper house. At Bursaspor, who have since fallen into the third division, Akman took his first steps as a professional, at the time still in the second division. He then separated from his former club with the greatest unhappiness. After the centre-forward did not renew his contract, those responsible for Bursa decided to suspend the youngster. They even went a step further and terminated the contract prematurely, which is why the way was clear for a move to Frankfurt.
