prepare to be very hot in the North as in the Pas de Calais. This Sunday, July 17, 2022, Météo France has decided to place the two departments in orange vigilance. The the days of Monday July 18 and Tuesday July 19 will be particularly hot.
Temperatures that stay warm at night
As already announced, the mercury will approach 35°C on Monday and could well reach the 40°C threshold during the day on Tuesday. At night, the temperature should not drop much and stay around 25°C.
What make the atmosphere difficult to bear.
Fight the heat
The Hauts-de-France Regional Health Agency (ARS) provides advice so as not to put your health or that of your loved ones at risk:
- In case of discomfort or behavioral problems, call a doctor;
- If you know of elderly, chronically ill or isolated people in your entourage, check in with them or visit them regularly. Accompany them in a cool place;
- During the day, close shutters, curtains and windows. Ventilate at night;
- Use a fan and/or air conditioner if you suffer from it. Otherwise, try, when possible, to go to a cool or air-conditioned place (supermarkets, cinemas, etc.);
- stay hydrated by drinking enough water (1.5L per day);
- Do not go out during the hottest hours (11am-9pm);
- If you must go out, wear a hat and light clothing;
- Limit your physical activities.
In short, be careful!
