Producer of frozen fruits and vegetables Hortex left Russia
The Polish producer of vegetables, fruits and berries Hortex left Russia. About it informs “Kommersant” with reference to data in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. According to the newspaper, such an entry in the register appeared on July 11.
The Russian business of Hortex transferred Ortika Frozen Foods to Agama Group of Companies in Russia. The information was also confirmed by a Kommersant source, but did not specify the loss of the amount. Agama Group of Companies is owned by Yuri Alasheev and Igor Lysenkov. The company is engaged in the production and supply of fish and the release of its products under the brands Agama, “Bay of Plenty”.
Hortex explores the market for frozen fruits and vegetables in Central and Eastern Europe. In Russia, the company has two factories in the Moscow region and one in Karelia.
According to Alexander Samokhvalov, Director of the Managing Company Berries of Karelia, the Polish manufacturer was freezing its exit from the Russian market even before the crisis. The problems were caused by embargo products that Russia opened in 2014 on the app.
Earlier, the manufacturer of Lego construction sets announced the withdrawal from Russia. The Danish company completely stops working in the country and breaks off relations with Resourceful retail group (IRG), which operates 81 brand stores in Russia. In July, Sephora also announced its exit from the Russian market. Russian stores of Ile de Beaute, arrests of ammunition of a chain of cosmetics stores, are transferred to the regional general director Yevgeny Drozdov.
