From November, it will be possible to fly directly to Oman on a regular route from Prague
Both connections will fly once a week. The Omani honorary consul in the Czech Republic, Ivo Vaněk, announced this to ČTK today.
The line to Muscat will be year-round, with flights to Salal during the tourist season. This year, from the beginning of November to the end of April, in the following years the seasonal line between Prague and Salála will be in operation from the beginning of October, added the consul.
Last November, SalamAir announced the launch of new long-distance routes from Prague to Salalah starting in December, but the company did not start flights in the end. “Last year, the connection to Oman was announced, but in the end it was not implemented and it was postponed to this year,” said Prague Airport spokeswoman Eva Krejčí.
Tickets will be available from July 15, to Muscat for 11,500 crowns and to Salalah for 12,000 crowns. “The Blue Style travel agency and others will offer accommodation packages on the Omani Riviera,” said Vaněk. Among the possibilities for tourist enjoyment, he mentioned, next to the beach, rides on Arabian thoroughbreds, mango harvesting or visits to the tourist-attractive island of Socotra.
The Omani consul also pointed out that people will be able to reach other destinations through SalamAir and Oman Air. He mentioned Zanzibar, Nairobi, Khartoum, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu and then India, Pakistan, Tehran or Baku.
Other connections also fly regularly from Prague to countries in the Middle East region. Passengers from Václav Havel Airport can take a direct route to Tel Aviv in Israel, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates or Doha in Qatar.
