Uetze near Hanover: woman stabs husband – danger to life
A heated argument between two spouses in Uetze near Hanover escalated on Monday. A 57-year-old is said to have stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife and seriously injured him.
According to previous knowledge, there was a dispute in the couple’s apartment on Monday afternoon, which then escalated, as the police announced on Tuesday. The 57-year-old finally stabbed her two-year-old husband several times with the kitchen knife.

A neighbor heard calls for help and provided first aid, and she also alerted the police and emergency services. The 59-year-old was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The woman was temporarily arrested.
Hildesheim public prosecutor and Hanover police investigation into an attempted homicide, the police said. At the time of the crime, the couple were “obviously under the influence of alcohol”. A voluntary breath alcohol test in the woman showed 2.58 per thousand. Blood was drawn from her. She was due to appear before a magistrate on Tuesday.

A blood sample was also taken from the 59-year-old in the hospital, but the results were not initially available. The police secured evidence in the apartment and the alleged murder weapon. (dpa/mp)
