Monaco Innovation Runway, showcase for the latest generation of Monegasque projects
With Monaco Innovation Runway, installed in the premises of MonacoTech, the Principality wanted to equip itself with an “innovation stage” to highlight all its latest generation projects. The inauguration on Friday gave the opportunity to present four innovative projects led by the Monegasque Government and five promising start-ups incubated by MonacoTech. To discover.
With Monaco Innovation Runway, considering last Friday, the Principality wanted to have a “innovation scene“. This Runway (name given in reference to the white bands similar to those of a runway and placed on the floor of this new space) opened within MonacoTech in a large room completely renovated and fitted out with next-generation equipment including a giant screen. As stated John Castelli, Advisor-Minister of Finance and the Economy and President of MonacoTech, it is “the place for demonstration, promotion and highlighting of innovative projects, available to start-ups but also open to all actors who make innovation in the Principality”. Accessible from MonacoTech in the premises of Monaco Telecom in Fontvieille, it is intended to highlight in Monaco and beyond, the telecom and digital infrastructures as well as the cutting-edge technologies developed on Monegasque soil, mainly in the incubated sectors. at MonacoTech (greentech, biotech, medtech, yachting, fintech, digital, Artificial Intelligence. The opening to a wider audience should take place at the start of the school year in September.
Flash on the Principality’s innovative projects
The inauguration, in the presence of Prince Albert II and Xavier Niel, majority shareholder of Monaco Telecom, also provided an opportunity to showcase Monaco Telecom start-ups and several innovative incubates hosted by the MonacoTech accelerator. Four projects supported by the Government and promoted as part of the Extended Monaco program were thus presented, as well as five startups incubated at MonacoTech.
The four projects supported by the Monegasque Government
- Digital Twin: launched within the framework of the Extended Monaco program, Monaco Telecom uses the Digital Twin, a 3D interface compiling all the topographic data of the territory created by the DITN, to predict the evolution of mobile coverage in Monaco and its optimization following the appearance new real estate projects. Developed in part by the Siradel company, the Digital Twin is an ultra-precise representation at all scales aggregating all of its data within a single repository. It is therefore a real tool for strategic management and decision support dedicated to the Principality.
- Upciti: The precise data sensor solution deployed in the Principality makes it possible to monitor the urban environment in real time. Two use cases were exposed: the measurement of mobility flows and the analysis of the availability of delivery locations.
- Vizua: Vizua, a startup incubated at MonacoTech, distributes the 3dverse collaborative platform. This solution makes it possible, thanks to the power of cloud computing, to work in real time and online on 3D digital twins. It allows the exchange of 3D digital models for real-time collaboration, without limits on file size or format, and without having to download an application or data.
- Eurecom: R&D project carried out in partnership with the Eurecom engineering school based in Sophia-Antipolis. New tools for simulating rising waters associated with Artificial Intelligence now make it possible to better study the impacts of a major disaster, such as a tsunami or large-scale floods.
The five innovative projects incubated by MonacoTech
- eH2P. This GreenTech-CleanTech has designed and produced high performance clean powertrains (electric and hydrogen) for the marine and sports car sector. It is at the heart of the zero CO2 maritime shuttle project being studied between Nice and Monaco.
- bolt cam. In the Digital / Entertainment segment, Bolt Cam is reinventing the experience of live broadcasting of concerts and major sporting and cultural events with the promise of an unprecedented immersive experience.
- Coraliotech. BioTech develops, promotes and markets innovative marine active ingredients for the well-being, care and human health markets. A collaborative project with InnoDeep is underway for the 3D modeling of molecules and the simulation of their properties.
- InnoDeep. In the MedTech / Artificial Intelligence niche, InnoDeep is developing a platform for rapid and remote diagnosis of medical images for the detection of Covid-19 and breast cancer. Applications are intended in particular to respond to the shortage of radiologists in certain African countries.
- Infinite. This MedTech relies on medical imaging, AI and 3D printing to revolutionize intracranial surgery by offering tailor-made and ready-to-use devices to simplify operations and reduce costs.
