Nurses from the Lisbon region on strike for better regions
The strike was led by the Sindicato dos Enfermeiros Portugueses (SEP), which also scheduled a meeting for 11:30 am in front of the ARSLVT headquarters.
The SEP accuses the ARSLVT of inaction, after a month ago it denounced several “problems and injustices”, among which the “precarious situation of about 150 nurses hired, in the context of the pandemic (of covid-19), and who are outside the 152 vacancies of the competition for linking”.
Also according to the SEP, among the reasons for the strike is the requirement of “effective/definitive binding of all nurses with precarious contracts” and the admission of more nurses, according to care needs.
In terms of careers, nurses also want the mobility situation, to all 35 functional units, lists of routine courses for nurses, the counting of points and corresponding repositioning the transition of all specialist and management nurses to the respective categories and also the admission of other professionals, namely for driving vehicles and removing contaminated.
