Levignac. Seventeen rafts descended the Save
Resuming after many years of absence, the descent of the Save in rafts had a great success last Saturday. No less than 17 heterogeneous boats were on the starting line at the Chaussée de Lévignac from 10 am. “The water is cold but as there is not much draft, we will have to paddle and it will quickly warm us up” indicates sailor Alice. Each crew showed imagination in naming their raft as original as possible. From the “Save eau nette” of the Fijians through “the sung rado” of friends from Lévignac, the “Rapeel” of the parents of pupils, “the Saouls marin” professionals of the atmosphere, “the rat’s born 80” of the entertainment service or the “Croq Mouilles” of a local company, the sight of the buildings foreshadowed a lot of abandonments on the way. It did not happen. After the lunch break in the landing stage of Menville, everyone arrived safely on the call of the Camerle between Montaigut sur Save and Saint Paul sur Save where the finish was judged. No chrono, the classification was carried out according to criteria of decoration of the raft, the atmosphere on board and the originality by a jury made up of the elected representatives of the 4 organizing municipalities and members of the inter-municipal association Sav Al Faire, ankle protest worker. A nice success that augurs a bright future for the descent of the Sava in rafts.
