Flight delayed or cancelled: This is what travelers need to know

If the flight is canceled as part of a package tour, the travel provider is the first point of contact. He has to find a replacement.
In certain cases, travelers are also entitled to compensation: if the information about the cancellation is given less than 14 days before the start of the trip, the airline has to pay between 250 and 600 euros, depending on the flight route. The airline does not have to pay if the flight is canceled due to extraordinary circumstances, such as bad weather, strikes, political unrest or natural disasters.
