Sokolík Pepík went to the lookout tower. Children will enjoy movement tasks
How to entertain children?
MOVEMENT TASKS
STAY ON THE TRIBE like the monkey Hanička
A little way behind the gate, the monkey Hanička was walking along the path, licking the ice cream. “Where are you flying Pepík the falcon?” “Damn it. Don’t you know where I could have a good look around?” “I know. Hold my ice cream. I’ll show you.”
TASK: Find a tree. Not very wide. The parent picks up the child and it wraps its arms and legs around the trunk like a monkey. The parent backs down and the child has to hold on to the trunk on its own.
RUN OVER OBSTACLES like grasshopper Emilka
“What are you doing? You won’t see anything like this.” The grasshopper Emilka was running towards them from a distance.
TASK: Determine a running course with obstacles and mark the start and finish (line on the ground, stick, backpack…). The distance between the start and the finish line is about 50 m (adjust according to the terrain and the age of the child). There should be some obstacles on the route – branches, stones, stumps, logs. . . You can time yourself and race to see who runs faster in the family.
KEEP BALANCE like grasshopper Emilka
“That’s how he looks around the world!” the grasshopper Emilka taught them.
TASK: Step on one leg, bend the other at the knee and lift. The knee should be in front of the body at the height of the hip. Cover your eyes with one hand and look around. Once again, you can have a family race to see who can last the longest without falling.
CLIMB THE LADDER like the monkey Hanička
The monkey Hanička laughed: “But we can’t see anything from the ground. We have to climb up. Look, there’s a lookout tower over there.”
TASK: The child climbs the “ladder” – stack several sticks parallel to each other on the ground like rungs of a ladder, and the child climbs over in a squat, i.e. on all fours like a dog (not on the knees).
QUIET TASKS
WHEN I GO ON A TRIP
“Wait for us,” called the ladybug Danuska and the squirrel Veruska, “what should we take with us?”
TASK: A memory training game that can be played while walking or in the car. The first player says, “When I go on a trip, I’ll take a map with me.” The second player continues, “When I go on a trip, I’ll take a map and a parachute.” Each next player must first repeat what the players before him have taken and adds his subject at the end. You can also play multiple rounds, meaning that when all players say what they take, the first one starts again, but they still have to repeat the whole row from the beginning.
WHAT HAS CHANGED
“Just so we don’t forget something,” the squirrel Veruska was worried. “Are you sure we’re not missing anything?”
TASK: The parent lays out several small objects (5-10) in front of the child – for example, a bus ticket, a comb, an apple, keys, a telephone, etc. and gives the child 1 minute to memorize the objects. Then he hides one object and the child has to say what is missing.
