A new aerial sculpture is “flying” in Dlouhá Street in Prague. The installations, which float regularly in this place, are visible to the people of Prague for several months. The author of the latest work is the Czech artist Veronika Psotková. Her work entitled Vinok is dedicated to all Ukrainian mothers , which is suffering from the Russian military invasion.
“At the very beginning of this war, I fell into a kind of paralysis and a feeling of helplessness. Crucial to the motif of the sculpture was a Facebook post looking for a job for a florist from Ukraine who can create beautiful flower crowns. With absolute admiration, I watched the information about the force and spread the symbol. Since then, Vinok was in my head every time I saw the news from Ukraine or from us through war refugees and I thought about how to transform the symbol into a realizable sculpture“, Psotková told Refresher.
