FC Bayern Munich: Does this star fly to England? Negotiations are ongoing – Bundesliga
So Omar Richards (24) could still be lucky!
The left-back moved to Munich from Reading FC on a free transfer last summer. So far, however, he has not been able to get a foot on the ground at Bayern. He made twelve appearances in the Bundesliga, was in the starting XI five times and played one game over 90 minutes. In total, he had 405 minutes of action in the league.
His good reputation in his native England has hardly suffered from the flop season. As “Sky” reports, Nottingham Forest wants to bring Richards (contract until 2025) back to the island. The newly promoted Premier League is said to be already negotiating with Bayern. A transfer fee of around ten million euros is under discussion.
Money that the record champions could use. Star transfer Sadio Mané (30/from Liverpool) cost 32 million euros, nine million could be added as a performance-related bonus.
Central defender Mathijs de Ligt (22 / Juventus Turin) would be the ideal solution as the new defense boss. According to BILD information, the Dutchman (contract until 2024) would like to switch to Bavaria. Problem: His exit clause is €120 million. Juventus would probably let him go for about half as well.
But still a lot of money for Bayern. A Richards farewell could at least make the deal easier.
