Ukraine exports 30% of the pre-war volumes of agricultural products – Kubrakov
Ukraine currently exports about 30% of the additional volume of agricultural products.
Ukraine is working today new export routes both along highways, railways, and through the Danube ports.
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov at the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine-2022 in Lugano.
“Now we are working along the lines of highways, railways and through the Danube ports. In this way, we are trying to increase the possibilities of exporting our products due to the blocking of Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea,” he said.
In a word, unfortunately, all these measures cannot cover 5-7 million tons of agricultural products per month, as it was before the war.
“Now we have reached about 30% of this indicator,” Kubrakov clarified.
The minister clarified that a number of ports on the Danube have increased export products since peacetime. He noted that there are urgent needs for export and business today restoration of bridges on international highways. This will make it possible to strengthen logistics in the country and help exports.
Kubrakov reminded that 305 bridges, 24.7 thousand km, were destroyed as a result of Russian aggression. roads, 6,500 railway tracks have been damaged or are under the control of the occupiers.
“We have temporary bridges instead of destroyed ones, but they are not suitable for trucks. Rapid reconstruction of bridges allows us to increase the throughput with neighboring countries. This is not a very expensive solution, but very urgent,” he explained.
