Telenet Giants Antwerp presents new sporty staff
Telenet Giants Antwerp has fully introduced the new sporting staff. Some cases had already appeared in the media, but the Antwerp first division team now wants to communicate officially and fully. Eddy Faus (50) becomes the new General Director of the Sinjoren.
Patrick Ceulemans
As before, Croatian coach Ivica Skelin will lead Telenet Giants Antwerp for the next two seasons. Skelin is someone with international experience and has also coached in Belgium (Pepinster, Leuven Bears, assistant Charleroi) and in the Netherlands (Groningen and Heroes Den Bosch) in the past.
Eddy Faus new general manager
Telenet Giants Antwerp welcomes Eddy Faus as new general manager. He will take charge of the sporting operation of Tele Giants Antwerp and Giants 2 as the secretariat. He also coordinates with the (promising) youth ministry. Faus rode with the club and as assistant coach of Telenet Giants Antwerp (under Paul Vervaeck and Roel Moors) and coach of second division team Oxaco, he has the DNA in him. He has his own company, good management skills are certainly present. That combination was an important reason to hire him as the new GM. With this restructuring, we bid farewell to the current general manager Wouter Nicolaes.
Guy Muya fulfills the dual function of assistant coach/sports manager
Guy Muya regards Randy Ovenekenaar (Brussels) as an assistant coach and also remains a sports manager. The composition of the sporting staff has been met with the extension of Guy Muya and the arrival of Eddy Faus is now complete. Telenet Giants Antwerp opens the BNXT League on Sunday 2 October with a home game in the Lotto Arena and against Ostend. It also comes out in the FIBA Europe Cup. On July 14, the draw will be held in Munich, Germany, and the Sinjoren will know the European foreigners.
