Salzburg: Proceedings against employees of the crèche closed
“The investigations have not substantiated the suspicion,” said prosecutor Elena Haslinger on Tuesday at the APA request.
Anonymous letter on suspicion
The man is said to have taken relevant pictures of children in autumn 2021 in an anonymous letter and submitted them. In April, the head of the crèche had submitted a suspicious activity report to the police. The Red Cross, which operates the facility, became aware of the case from parents.
Suspicious hat left company
The suspect, who is presumed innocent, has since left the company, but for a different reason, as the spokeswoman for the Salzburg Red Cross, Roberta Thanner, told APA in May.
A search of the suspect’s home did not uncover any incriminating evidence. According to the spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office, there is no reliable evidence. The termination of the proceedings is not yet legally binding.
