As the Chilean sports portal “El Portal Deportivo” reports, Red Bull Salzburg are interested in signing 18-year-old left winger Darío Osorio. In June, the youngster from the Universidad de Chile made his debut for the Chilean national team.

Only at the beginning of the year did Osorio move up from his club’s U19 team to the first team. He started five times, was substituted on nine more times and has been able to write four times. A weak phase at the Universidad de Chile suited the 18-year-old: The traditional club is currently bobbing around in the lower half of the table and it was possible for several young kickers to slip into the “First”.

Salzburg are not alone in their interest in the dynamic winger. Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to have already made an offer for the Chilean. 3.5 million euros plus resale participation are in the room. An offer that is also well-known in Salzburg when it comes to young talents from other continents.

In South America, the media are already overthinking the potential of the Chilean. The country’s soccer legends also emphasize again and again that Osorio himself probably doesn’t even know how strong he can become. Salzburg should be a good next step for the youngster rather than being immediately thrown in at the deep end of the Premier League and risking a loan move.
