Mercato: Mandanda, a lot of news has just fallen in Marseille!
Having become number two behind Pau Lopez last season at OM-Olympique de Marseille under the orders of Jorge Sampaoli, Steve Mandanda (37) had however finished the season as a starter and the very experienced French international goalkeeper had also achieved very big performances, both in Ligue 1 and in the Europa League Conference.
But the name of Steve Mandanda is regularly associated with many rumors in the columns of possible departures on this Mercato OM. Thus, the one who was crowned world champion in 2018 with the French team would be targeted by several clubs abroad but also and above all by two L1 teams, namely: Stade Rennais and OGC Nice.
According to information from our colleagues in the newspaper The Team, Steve Mandanda would have given his verbal agreement to join Rennes during this summer transfer window! Currently, negotiations would take place between Olympique de Marseille and Stade Rennais in order to find a perfect common ground for his transfer.
The French goalkeeper, trained at HAC – Le Havre AC, would therefore have a good chance of leaving OM to land in Rennes, where he was promised a starting position in Ligue 1 and the Europa League (the young Turkish Dogan Alemdar remains number two, Alfred Gomis pushes towards the exit).
