Kaliningrad proposes to ban the import and export of goods to Russia through the Baltic States

The authorities of the Kaliningrad region completely banned the import and export of goods to Russia through the Baltic countries as a response to the ban on the transit of certain goods through Lithuania. This is reported TASSInformation about the governor of region Anton Alikhanov.
“[Мы направили] some of our suggestions. The option that I voiced from the last is an extreme answer – a complete ban on the import and export of any goods through the Baltic states. Thus, we, in fact, prohibit the movement of goods in the Baltics across the border of the Russian Federation, with the exception of Kaliningrad, ”Alikhanov said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
According to him, we are talking about a ban on transit goods that go through Russia. “For example, from Asia through Russia to the Baltic ports, and the choice of cargo that arrived at the Baltic ports and then moved to Russia either or through our country to other transit states. In our opinion, this is an extreme, such a serious response, it is probably the most extreme,” Alikhanov asked.
The governor also noted that Russia’s response to the ban on transit in Kaliningrad
