Carraz is currently the region of the Braga district with the most drought that the country crossed. Several dams are already at a capacity that is not expected to be sufficient for the rest of the summer.
The Fonte Longa Dam supplies around 5,500 inhabitants and only has water for the next three months. During the summer season the population of this area doubles which represents an aggravating factor for the problem. If it rains significantly the situation cannot become critical.
