Volleyball player Tarasov: I have never heard anything negative about being Russian in Poland
Russian volleyball player Vyacheslav Tarasov therefore, whether there was a disdainful attitude towards one’s person on the grounds of nationality while living in Poland.
“To be honest, I have never encountered the fact that someone would say to me: “Ah, you are Russian.” Some kind of negativity… It all depends on the person. I myself do not aggravate the situation, I do not begin to prove a point of view to people. But it is precisely the negative that I am Russian, for all the time that I was in Poland, I have never heard. There were conversations when it all started: “How are they treated there, in Russia?” I express my point of view, as my relatives think, and that’s it.
I spend three years in Poland, I also spend the summer there, because I play the season somewhere, but not at home. I feel more comfortable here in terms of logistics. But I do not deny that my mother lives in St. Petersburg. Last year, when I had the opportunity, I came. There is no problem. I do not deny that I am Russian. It is obvious that all cases were not discovered by the servants of advertising Russia, in my opinion. But at the same time, I am a Russian, I was born here, grew up and I don’t want to renounce Russian citizenship, ”Tarasov said in an interview with the correspondent of the Championship, Sofia Kolodkina.
