On this Saturday, July 2, the Toulouse Olympique began a crucial month for its maintenance in the Super League. First deadline of this “Olympic Summer”, the reception of the formation of the Hull Kingston Rovers who won on April 18 at Wallon 24-28. It was therefore time for revenge for the Olympians.

The first 10 minutes are hotly contested with a lot of commitment and intensity, Mr. GRIFFITHS, must stop time three times for interventions by the respective medical staff. It was in the 13th minute that the Olympians unfolded their game, first with a breakthrough from Olly ASHALL-BOTT allowing the TO block to be within the opposing 10 meters. On the last down, captain GIGOT made his right foot speak and distilled a magnificent ball to Latrell SCHAUMKEL, the latter scored his first try in the Super League.

The TO leads 6-0, Chris HANKINSON transforms into a corner. The men of Sylvain HOULES are not satisfied and will alternate the good transition phases by forcing the opponents to make a mistake, a mistake at 40m in front of the posts. Chris HANKINSON added 2 points, it was 8-0 in the 25th minute of play. The score did not move, because the Olympians showed great defensive solidity preventing the English from opening their counter, 8-0 at halftime .

As soon as the locker room returns, Hull KR will have a highlight that the Olympian defense
will be able to retain. Following the indiscipline of the opponents, the TO finds itself within 30 meters
English and with a new Decision pass by Tony GIGOT for Guy ARMITAGE, who
shifts Paul MARCON at the end of the line. The English under pressure continue the faults and Chris HANKINSON takes the opportunity to add two points thanks to a weakness. The Hautgaronnais lead 16-0 in the 50th minute of play. Ten minutes later, Tony GIGOT comes to find a 40/20 which will put the Toulouse attack in good condition, and Chris
HANKINSON scored the TO’s third try following a superb collective movement.

The TO then leads 22-0 with the conversion. Visitors react immediately with
a test of the VETE pillar which gives hope to Hull KR. Short-lived Hope Car 4 minutes
after the reduction of the score, Olly ASHALL-BOTT definitively seals the fate of this
meeting by scoring a final try. The TO wins 28 to 6, and starts perfectly
his month of July.

The Blues & Whites will now focus on such an important game
emblematic, the Magic Weekend against Wakefield at St James’ Park, a direct competitor
to maintenance.
