Four superfinal victories of Staropramen Prague, four enthusiastic reactions of the champions
The program began with the triumph of his under-20 players, who beat Prague’s Koráb 4:2 in the final. “The title is definitely a nice thing and a great success, something new for me that I haven’t experienced before. We are happy that we won and I will continue in the under-twenty-three category, if everything goes well,” smiled Staropramen supporter Saša Sehedi.
Although Koráb equalized at 1:1, Staropramen captain Jindřich Novotný soon returned the lead to his team and completed a hat trick by the end of the match. “I think we played well, we went all out from the start and didn’t leave them anything. We tried to play tactically, but we also improvised a bit in the match. Jindra helped us a lot, he was important for us, he gave three figs,” acknowledged Sehedi.
The nervousness of the big game did not bind him too much. “We took it as if we were just going there to win at any cost. The nervousness, at least on my part, was only healthy,” added the player from Prague.
Champions! The Super League has a new ruler. The title is held by Staropramen Praha
In the end, the Staropramen Prague under-23 players imitated their teammates, who beat Brno 1:0 in the Superfinal. “We went to win, we gave it our best and it’s there. I really enjoyed it, the Superfinal was really great,” rejoiced Pavel Ladra from Staropramen.
Captain Tomáš Jelínek decided the dramatic battle seven minutes before the end. “Although it bounced off him nicely, every goal counts, his experience helped us. We clearly didn’t want to score any goals, we are mainly on the defensive and we wanted to score the first goal, which we did,” he was relieved.
Ladra played in Boskovice already a year ago, when Staropramen Praha lost to Brno in the semi-finals and won only bronze. “Last year we made two mistakes with Brno, we conceded one goal to them, the other we scored our own, otherwise it was an equally even match. Bronze was great too, but gold tastes better. It’s unbelievable and we’re celebrating,” the Prague player smiled.

Staropramen Praha defeated Olomouc Mighty Ducks 7:2 in the Super League for players under the age of eight. “I liked the match and I am very happy. The opponent was quite easy. At first I didn’t do well, then it was good,” smiled Tobiáš Vlk from the winning team.
He normally plays for Boskovice, but he helped Staropramen in the Superfinal. “I’ve been playing football for two years and I had parents who cheered me on,” said the boy.
Staropramen Praha also dominated the category of under-10 players, beating Brno 4:1 in the Superfinal. “I’m very happy, we played very well. The tournament was the best and I liked it, my dad was cheering for me” said member of the winning squad Seia Ono.
Two goals appeared in Staropramen’s win. “I can shoot, that’s mine. I had one more chance, but I didn’t give it, it was difficult. I have been playing football for about five years,” he added.
