AntwerpThe traffic support team (VOT) of the South region kept an extra eye last weekend on traffic on the Kiel, in Wilrijk and Hoboken. That issued citations for wrong parking. However, a few speed riders could also be tackled and a motorcyclist ran into the lamp because he was on his motorcycle with slippers.
To start with, two drivers were incorrectly parked in a residential area and a third parked annoyingly less than five meters from a corner. All received for a fine. There was also someone who was parked in a space for people with disabilities without them being able to show the parking ticket. That antisocial parking behavior has also been documented, and that of someone who was parked completely on the sidewalk. Supervision of the end of the market on the Kiosk place placement for seven drivers on a GAS fine. Strangely but true, they were parked incorrectly.
Stop a driver traveling through a zone 30 at an organizational speed of 64 km/h. The man’s driver’s license was immediately revoked for 15 days. A speeding driver also stopped the next day. He drove at a speed of 76 km/h on the Antwerpsteenweg where the speed is limited to 50 km/h.
In the same street, the VOT intercepted a motorcyclist who was riding around wearing slippers and other inappropriate clothing, such as shorts and a short-sleeved t-shirt. A ‘red driver’ also turned out to be driving around with a vehicle that had a red inspection card. He was not on his way to a garage, home or to an inspection station and so the driver was fined.
