Elena Bashkirova, founder of the Romir research holding, has died. This was announced today, July 4, by the research company Bashkirov and Partners.
“On the third of July, suddenly at the age of 76, Bashkirova Elena Ivanovna, an outstanding scientist of international level, passed away. She stood at the origins of the creation of the school of sociology in Russia. She was the first secretary of the Institute of Sociology of the USSR Academy of Sciences, head of the sector for international comparative studies of this organization, ”the company said.
As the scientific leader noted Dmitry Zhuravlev“Among Bashkirova’s many successes is the creation of Romir, the first major non-state sociological research.”

Since 1992, the sociologist has run her own research company, currently assembled as Bashkirova and Partners.
