Directed in particular by Souleymane Diawara and Karim Aklil, associated with Cyril Hanouna
For several years, Athlético Marseille was led in particular by Souleymane Diawara, who arrived as a shareholder in 2017, and Karim Aklil (players’ agent associated with presenter Cyril Hanouna), president since 2019.
“We are now close to filing for bankruptcy, confided last May, to La Provence, Jean-Luc Mingallon, former president of Marseille-Consolat who returned to business at the end of 2021 to help the club, in remarks reported by the site foot lover. We realized that the debts left were around 800,000 euros. The club was totally abandoned. The players had not been paid for four months and there were only two educators left to take care of 120 licensees.” The sentence of the court therefore ended up falling.
