25 rescuers from Moldova took a special course on disaster actions
Between June 20 and July 1, 2022, 25 IGSU employees participated in a training course on “Operations and management in case of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear accidents (CBRN)”. The training took place at the Republican IGSU Training Center in the capital.
IGSU rescuers participated in theoretical and practical lessons where they studied methods and principles of intervention in case of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear accidents and incidents, as well as the basics of medical management in such situations, informs Noi.md.
At the same time, the trainers from the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency introduced the employees. chemical and radiological methods, as well as methods of sampling.
At the end of the training course, a practical exercise was carried out regarding the intervention actions in case of chemical, biological or radiological accident or incident with the use of the equipment provided. The CBRN training program is conducted under the auspices of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and is implemented in partnership with the US European Command. The purpose of the training course is the effective preparation of the Inspectorate for liquidating the consequences of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear accidents, creating the quality of intervention in such situations based on operational management principles, and developing standard operating procedures in case of CBRN accidents.
