MARSEILLE

the Grand Prix Féminin Derichebourg won by the Durand, Lebossé and Peyré trio in a very good way against the Mahé, Roux and Picard team (13-7).

Sugar Mizzy July 3, 2022

A final of the Derichebourg Women’s Grand Prix marked by a big duel between the two fencers Emma Picard and Nelly Peyré. The two triplets gave the maximum, but Camille Durand, Céline Lebossé and Nelly Peyré were superior.

La marseillaise à pétanque 2022, 61st edition of the world

Camille Durand and Manon Mahé engage in a very fine duel in stitch. While the two shooters Nelly Peyré and Emma Picard miss their first attempt. Picard does not let go and strikes on his second try, imitated a few moments later by Nelly Peyre who even makes a very nice puck. Charlotte Roux this time does not tremble and manages to regain the mark. She is overtaken by the very nice point of Céline Lebossé. Chartlotte roux has no other solution than to attempt a capital shot… She misses it, and suddenly offers victory to the Durand, Lebossé and Peyré team which registers its name for the first time in the Grand Prix Female Derichebourg. A magnificent victory 13 to 7 after a fairly disputed final and a very good overall level.

Beginning of leads in line with the previous ones with a beautiful ball from Camille Durand, but the French international Emma Picard succeeded in her shot on the first attempt. Durand comes back very close to the stopper but Picard answers him without batting an eyelid. The debates are balanced and the tension rises because all the men have refunded a lot of points whatever the team. Manon Mahé points and takes the mark. The moment that Nelly Peyré prefers to hit and perform a “scissor” she removes two opposing balls in one go. Charlotte Roux, perhaps a little too expensive for the stakes of this final, does not fit and Nelly Peyré adds a second point. The Durand team now leads 12 to 7.

The two teams perform “blow for blow” in a final of very high level. You have to hang on, Emma Picard and Nelly Peyré have the same performance on this lead with a failure on each side. Charlotte Durand has a little more difficulty in shooting, and does not fit her extra ball either. The Durand team just needs to apply with Céline Lebossé to score three points and allow their triplet to regain the advantage with a score of 10 to 7.

Another early lead to the advantage of Manon Mahé who forces Nelly Peyré to two shots. Unfortunately for the European champion shooter in 2012. It doesn’t work twice. Camille Durand places a ball nearby but does not win the point and the Mahé team finds itself with five balls to play to be paid well in this end. Emma Picard is perfect at shooting with two winning shots that will allow her team to score four points to equalize at 7 points everywhere.

The 4th looks nothing like the previous one. To the point, it is Camille Durand who takes over the leadership. But while the Durand team was superior in the number of boules, Nelly Peyré hit that of her teammate. Camille Durand takes the point very well, but Emma Picard manages an ultra-precise and powerful shot. The lead is completely reversed… Céline Lebossé makes the recovery near the stopper, she pushes Charlotte Roux has shot her first ball of the game… She misses it. And Nelly Peyré adds a second point to have a score which climbs to 7-3 for the Durand team.

Camille Durand is short from the start, then leads that Manon Mahé is very close to the stopper. Nelly Peyré takes the shot and misses her first ball of the game. The Durand team gets stuck a little, even if Peyré strikes on his second attempt. Manon Mahé is unplayable at the point on this end, she is still very close to the stopper and the Durand team can only defend… Emma Picard tries a gamble. She shoots a ball which is facing the goal. The cork came out of the playing area, the result of the three-point course for the Mahé team, which is slowly but surely coming back together. The score is 5 to 3 for Durand.

The young women of the Durand team continue their excellent start to the game with two winning shots for Nelly Peyré who is on a 4 of 4 in two ends. Camille Durand played her two bowls well and Céline Lebossé is on the pace. Two new points. After two leads the score is 5 to 0 for the Durand triplet.

A first lead in this final of the Derichebourg Women’s Grand Prix with a stopper just over seven meters away. Manon Mahé starts perfectly and offers Nelly Peyré two fabulous shots, a diamond and a puck to start this game ideally. Charlotte Roux does not manage to place her two balls and it is Emma Picard who saves the furniture, but opposite Céline Lebossé is also very diligent in shooting. The first ends with three points for the Durand triplet. What a start!

128 triplets competed this year for the women’s grand prix of the Marseillaise à pétanque world championship. The finalists will give their all to win this 20th edition. The triplet of Nelly Peyre facing that of Manon Mahé.

Nelly Peyré has already won a place in the final in Marseille, it was in 2014. She won the title of European champion 2012 in Ghent in Belgium. She is also the 2011 French champion.
She plays with Camille Durand and Céline Lebossé.

Manon Mahé, comes from Bron. she was a finalist for the national de Ruoms in 2020 with Bourriaud and Durand. She is champion of the Pays de Loire.
