The garden in Slanm, which had been looking for years, has regained its first-republic appearance

Sugar Mizzy July 3, 2022

The descendant of the family of the manufactory Frantika Pibyla, his son Andrej, is also satisfied with the complete similarity of the first stages of the restoration. I was born in the Czech Republic, but I have Czech roots in the city of Slan. The town where my parents went. I am sure that the park will be open to the public again, he said when opening the garden.

During the period of revitalization, the park was largely restored to its original form designed by the leading garden architect of the first half of the 20th century, Josef Kumpn (1885-1961), a native of Mlad Boleslav.

real stly plates million

The renewal of the park is the result of several negotiations within the city council, when it was quite difficult to find an agreement on what to do with Kumpnová garden. Three years ago, the representatives agreed to pay for a symbolic one crown to take over the park and the now devastated Tovrenko’s villa, remembering a gift from the then owner, a Turkish development company that is carrying out residential construction in the vicinity. As a result, the preparation and implementation of the first stage of land restoration could be closed this year.

From the beginning, we had no idea about the historical values of the park. We have teamed up with the studio of the renowned garden architect, Manel Krejikovch. In the past, they contributed, for example, to the restoration of the parterre in the Lednice park and the German parks in Buchlovice and Sychrov, recalled the mayor of Slanho, Martin Hrabnek (ODS).

Restoring the park in data

  • In 2012 the city signed a memorandum of understanding with the development company that owns the land, which the city will maintain.
  • A year 2018 was restored together with its own park, then it was agreed to transfer it to the property of the city, including the Pibyla farm villa, for a symbolic one crown.
  • In November of that year, the association Spolenost patriot Slanho managed to get the roof of the factory’s villa, commemorating the village, and the park as a cultural monument.
  • In 2019 the signature of the property transfer agreement was confirmed by the city representative.
  • Year 2020 meant the completion of work on the restoration of the park under the supervision of the National Monument.
  • First Ervenc day of the year 2022 the park will be open to the public again. So far, without Tovrenko’s villa, which will be reconstructed in the following years.

The Krejks then created a project for its restoration on the basis of Kumpna’s original drawing of the garden near Benar, which they found in the archives. In it, they tried to be sensitive to the image of the architect of the First Republic.

So, for example, the statue of Dama moved into the garden after a bath, it was restored and restored with a spout of water in the shape of a lion, but it was buried underground for a long time. We recently had a replica of the original cane made in the shape of a necktie, in memory of the mayor. Today, Pesto by Josef Kumpno has seen a number of changes compared to his usual garden project. There is no need for you, the original First Republic fan. Symbolically, it was replaced by a modern area with a groove with water fountains, which will surely be very popular, especially with children.

The total cost of completing the first stage of the park’s revitalization reached 30 million crowns. The city covered this sewer completely from its own budget.

The work in the park itself was fraught with problems. For example, after excavating the soil on one side of the plot, a lot of hazardous waste, containing, among other things, arsenic, and contaminated soil were discovered. the ground is a known condition, so it was necessary to help drain the drains and build a seepage pit. The city’s leadership originally expected the park to open to the public last year. But some works lasted according to Two of the delays were also due to complications with one of the supplier companies.

Revitalization will continue

I will open the park to his right. Cafes are open in full swing. In the following stages, the original aqueduct will be reconstructed. A similar building is a rarity in Esk. He put them on display in the Lednicevaltice German Arel. We want to restore it to its original form, so that water can circulate in it again and feed the small lake. We are fulfilling the renewal of the sports hit, now with elements for children at least. Residents of Slanho, remember the minigolf here. With regard to the monuments, it did not fit into the shape of the landscaping of the garden. But here we have chosen another suitable place for his modern adventure version. The death bag must first be approved by the city representative, the mayor stated.

The other stages of the park’s revitalization will not be as financially demanding. According to Martin Hrabenko, they will move in units of millions of crowns. For many people, the wedding will mean the repair of the architecturally impressive Tovrenko’s villa. I don’t have a concrete idea of how to use it yet. Slan wants to receive a pension from the dotankh program for its reconstruction.
