“Struggles within the ISS and in the meantime the services not available”
The difficulties related to our health are there for all to see. Continuous reports from many fellow citizens, a basic medicine that is no longer able to fulfill the essential role of prevention is a supervision in contact with the patients, doctors who leave, wards increasingly in critical situations, waiting lists interminable and, consequently, many patients are forced to interface frequently with private healthcare. If it is difficult to give answers and provide an adequate service, the ideal ground for private healthcare is necessarily prepared. Libera has been denouncing it for some time, unfortunately we are unheard. We strongly proposed to invest part of the resources of the debt contracted on international markets precisely in healthcare and in particular in basic medicine so that it can return to its original function: prevention. Today the general practitioner is often forced to reach the patient on the phone, certainly not because of his responsibility. It does little more than administrative. He prescribes drugs, laboratory tests, specialist visits over the phone, without even seeing the patients in person. Not even the territorial operations center, the bed, has improved the situation and indeed the switchboard has been established but the bureaucratic machine has become heavy in the relationship between doctor and patient. The answers do not even arrive inside the hospital, in the wards, where waiting lists are lengthened and the chronicity of the problems to doctors and their possibility of making a career in the Republic and in having adjustments at the level of social security in the relationship between Italy and San Marino for health professionals. We were told that Dr. Drinking given should immediately give a concrete impulse both in the context of bilateral relations and in the management of our health facility. Nothing more has been heard of all this. We ask ourselves, given the idyllic relations that the San Marino government boasts with the Italian institutions, what prevents a solution from being reached? However, we have learned of the enormous expenses for our system, which are questionable such as those of the surgery robot and for the project for a radiotherapy department, without a clear return plan and now there is even fear of the possibility of a revision of the free profession also for the clients Iss. The risk is evident: management increasingly oriented towards the private interest that prevails over the social and health purpose of our country. Furthermore, we continue to have a politicized governance of the ISS, where partitioning logic is king: Bevere had ensured a change in this sense too, but here too we are still awaiting the facts. In all this chaos there is only one person who should be in charge of the situation: it is the Secretary of Health Ciavatta who, however, after pretending to resign, in order to stay glued to his chair always prefers to accuse someone else of inability , attacks the opposition that criticizes (from what a pulpit!), the Executive Committee does well in order not to annoy the allies if they are not compatible with each other and does not solve a problem even by mistake, on the contrary it continues the very dangerous path of the creeping privatization of the ISS. Above all, we cannot accept that the internal conflict within the majority over the management of the ISS paralyzes everything and puts the system in crisis with the risk of implosion. It is already difficult to govern such a complex machine, let alone when a majority arguing over the smallest problem does it. We, as Libera, will continue to denounce this situation and constantly circulate in a health model that is more centered on the person, on our territory and on the person. We are not interested in infighting within the majority, or whose faults are, we are interested in ISS and problem solving. Whoever has responsibility for politics must undo this knot or make them take note of his inability.
