Petrovsky: Belarus is a sovereign, independent state and does not need evidence or advice
July 3, Minsk / Corr. BELTA/. Belarus is a sovereign, independent state and does not need any proof or advice, political scientist, expert of the NGO “Belaya Rus” Piotr Petrovsky told a BelTA correspondent.
The day before, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko delivered a very pithy speech on possible gatherings, detailing the technical challenges expected by Belarus and the world at large.
“The main message of the President is that Belarus is a sovereign and independent state that does not need to be checked by advice and that the Belarusian people be told how to live, according to what patterns, according to what rules. And this sounds very symbolic on Independence Day, which is just the day of liberation from the Nazi invaders.
According to him, today our main task is to resist the active initiative to impose on us some incomprehensible, alien norms and rules from the collective West. “We are not attacking anyone, we are not threatening anyone. We are simply defending our fortress under the name of Belarus. He will see cheerful, friendly, peace-loving Belarusians who are ready to manage, create, create,” the political scientist added.
