That came after Squadra Azzurri coach Ferdinando De Giorgi, who is back after testing positive for COVID-19, announced the 14-man squad for the tournament.

Whether the 33-year-old Zaitsev will play in some of the matches or whether De Giorgi will bet on the previous starter Yuri Romano will be understood in the teachings of the tournament. The other player to be named to the League squad for the first time this year is center Roberto Russo.
