Rolling Loud Portugal Festival: ‘nonstop’ hip-hop in Portimão
Created in Miami, Florida, Rolling Loud is one of the biggest hip-hop festivals in the world. In 2022, it takes place for the first time in Portugal, more precisely in Praia da Rocha, in Portimão. The concert parade starts on Wednesday with the rapper American J. Cole as headliner.
On the first day of the first Portuguese Rolling Loud (a premiere that the pandemic postponed for two summers) will also perform the North Americans Jack Harlow and Roddy Rich, the rapper Rico Nasty and the Portuguese Lon3r Johny, among many others. On Thursday, the headliner is A$AP Rocky, one of the most esteemed hip-hop figures of his generation, also known for his romantic connection to Rihanna, with whom he had a child this year. In addition to A$AP Rocky, who will also be at Super Bo Superck, in Meco, on July 13, active on the second day, more representatives of the immense ‘brigade’, such as Baby Keem Carti or Trippie Redd, and also the Londoners D-Block Europe and Skepta. The festival ends on the 8th, with the rapper from the south of the United States, Future, in 2017 caused a stir (and some controversy) at Altice Arena, in Lisbon. Nayvad DeMun Wilburn, Future’s birth name, join Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert or DaBaby, who saw several concerts approved also after the statements, at Miami’s Rolling Loud, in 2021 — DaBaby will not be at Super Bock Super Rocha , the 15th of July. A warning for anyone going to Rolling Loud: entry is limited to over 18s and ID will be required at the entrance. / Lia Pereira
