The question mark FC Wacker Innsbruck prevents concrete game plans for the Regionalliga Tirol and the Tirol Liga at the beginning of July 2023 – the game plans for the other leagues are already in place. In the Regionalliga Tirol, the transfer time is in full swing and the SV Woergl has already officially announced all players will leave the club in the summer. Of course, there is also a long list of additions to be expected.
Squad change in Wörgl
In addition to coach Denis Husic, Lukas Tauber, Julian Jirka, Daniel Egger, Bastian Pichler, Alvin Husic, Marlon Beslic and Burki Cissè (all Kufstein) will leave Wörgl. Lukas Brandl goes to Germany, Alexander Schaber to SPG Mieminger Plateau, Johannes Erb accompanies his studies, Hansi Haderecker goes to SV Aubing/D, assistant coach Martin Lella will also leave SV Wörgl.
Wacker Innsbruck fought hard on a regional league place
According to an interview by neo-president Hannes Rauch in the “Tiroler Tageszeitung”, FC Wacker Innsbruck is trying everything to secure a place in the Regionalliga Tirol. If this succeeds, SV Innsbruck will probably have to relegate. If this doesn’t succeed, SV Innsbruck could probably continue playing in the Regionalliga Tirol. In any case, of course, the Tyrolean league champion Kundl and the winner of the promotion relegation SPG Silz/Mötz will be promoted to the Tyrolean regional league. This means that it is currently not possible to create fixtures for the Regionalliga Tirol and the Tirol Liga. However, there is not much time left, because the 2022/23 season is supposed to start on the penultimate weekend in July. In any case, the topic of professional football at Wacker Innsbruck is no longer an issue in the short term.
